I finished up my February list yesterday.
Hooray!
pattern: Ottobre Design 01/12 #23 "All-Time Favorite Cargo Sweatpants"
size: 122 gasp! When did my babies go from wearing a 104 to a 122???
fabric: a purchased pair of boy sweatpants
mods: left off the cargo pockets (lack of fabric), drawstring (lack of time), and added an inch to the length
I hurried to sew the sweatpants as I thought MG might want to wear them to soccer practice last night. But no, she had a cute pair of pink shorts that she wanted to wear instead.
But she did wear her new black leggings under the pink shorts.;)
I decided not to do a second pair of the sweatpants as the girls have enough pants to last until shorts weather. And I did make K a pair of black leggings too. But no pictures!
Time to get started on compiling March's sewing to-do list...

Way to set a goal and go for it! I might need to do some more concrete goal setting myself for future projects. There's something about sharing your goals with blogland that makes you more likely to actually accomplish them, I bet.
ReplyDeleteAnd those cargo sweats are the most fashionable cargo sweats I've ever seen!
Lauren, Gives me a little bit of accountability...something I need! -C
Deleteway to go on accomplishing your February sewing goal !
ReplyDeleteI need to seriously start attacking my March sewing projects...

Good on you getting your February sewing done!
ReplyDeleteEaster is just 4 weeks away ... can you feel the pressure mounting for the next sewing goal?!!
You have such gorgeous and willing models! They all pose beautifully! Well done on completing your list. Setting goals is the way to go. They are lovely pants and look so comfy.
ReplyDeleteThanks! MG is usually happy to model...though she likes to make lots of funny faces during the "photo shoot". Having the list in black and white, instead of in my head, definitely helps me focus!

ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Finishing a list feels great :-) - looking forward to seeing your March list
ReplyDeleteIt'll be a long one, Justine! Easter clothes, swim suits, shorts, tops...

Nice job! I should use this strategy in March. Since we actually have some "need" sewing to do!
ReplyDeleteThose are cute! I bet they'll get lots of wear too. Good job mom!
ReplyDeleteWorn twice already!;)

Really cute pants. Congratulations on setting goals and following through. I think setting up a reasonable list is more than half the battle. Whenever I start listing, I get carried away and quickly discouraged.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Long lists can weigh a little too heavy if you know what I mean. My March list will be long but hopefully it'll still get accomplished!

Well done you getting that list done!
ReplyDeleteI bet that felt good!

Absolutely, Nicole!:)

I fully believed that you would finish your list! Well done! 122 sounds so tall, they must be really stretching.
ReplyDeleteWay to go on another list finished! You are inspiring;)
ReplyDeleteKeeping it short means there's no reason it can't be finished...we'll see about March!

Sweatpants aren't really cute, but these sure are. I wonder if my girls would like them...
